About Us  

• We are a small, family-owned farm dedicated to preserving rare breeds of farm animals for future generations.
• We  are active members of

•  We have been raising sheep and goats since 2004 with over 20 years prior experience in animal husbandry.
• We have adopted American Mustangs from the BLM, an American Quarter Horse as a PMU foal, and 12 llamas and 1 alpaca from Northeast Llama Rescue and Barnyard Sanctuary.
• We rehabilitated the llamas for use as guardian animals for our sheep and goats.
• We maintain a small laying flock of hens (various heritage breeds), 3 types of ducks and a pair of Chinese white geese.
• We have a Border Collie in training to help move the sheep and goats.
• We offer quality breeding stock at a reasonable cost, opening the door to people, who otherwise could not afford to purchase registered breeding stock.
  • We do this to ensure a diversity of breeding programs and greater numbers of breeders to preserve the breed.
  • Cost does not always guarantee quality.
• We will work with first-time owners and members of youth programs, such as 4-H and FFA, get started with their first breeding pair or project animal.

• We keep meticulous medical records on all of our animals.

•  We maintain complete pedigrees on all animals for which familial descent is known.

• We are voluntarily enrolled in the Scrapie program.

Meet the family

J&M Farm is home to my parents,  2 of their 4 children, 2 grandchildren and too many animals to count.

We all pitch in to get the work done- mending fences, feeding, building and, yes, even shovelling from time to time.
